Elizabeth Valenzuela obtained her Juris Doctorate from the Hastings College of Law. She is a member of the State Bar of California and the US District Federal Court. She is certified by the State of California as a Legal Specialist in Workers’ Compensation, a qualification she has held for the last 20 years.
Ms. Valenzuela was admitted to the Bar in 1985 and has since practiced exclusively in the area of Workers’ Compensation Defense. She has been voted by her peers to Southern California Super Lawyers for the years 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014. Super Lawyers is a rating service of outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high-degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. The selection process is multi-phased and includes independent research, peer nominations and peer evaluations and selection represents the top 5% of practicing lawyers in California.
In 2011, Ms. Valenzuela accepted a three year appointment to serve on the State Bar of California Advisory Commission for Workers’ Compensation Specialization.
Ms. Valenzuela’s legal education from Hastings has given her an edge in aggressively litigating cases on behalf of her clients. She has represented clients from the Workers’ Compensation trial level, through the Courts of Appeal level. She provides training seminars for insurance claims departments as a regular part of her practice.
